{Runic Portal} 3/5!

I finally dragged my lazy ass to do Aht Urghan second mission, Immortal Sentries. Damned Naja Salaheem just assumed that I want to be a mercenary and sent me to go to one of the staging points to deliver supplies and to introduce myself to the Immortals, supposedly chosen elite units that guard each staging point.
I picked Azouph Isle Staging Point first, loaded up Vana’diel Atlas on laptop and I took off. It was pretty straightforward, take the boat to Nashmau (my absent-mindedness took me to Mhaura instead :p) then exit through the north or east gate to Caedarva Mire, the staging point is located at K-9. Go through the door and trade the supplies to the NPC there. He will then show you the Runic Portal. You have to use it to warp back to Aht Urghan Whitegate otherwise you won’t be able to NPC warp from the city.
When I reached the city, I went back to see Naja Salaheem and she just tricked me into being a mercenary…. eternally!!!
After the second mission is finished, Mog Locker, Sanction and Assault became available. Too bad I don’t have the bronze piece to pay for the locker rent just yet.
Next on the list was Dvucca Staging Point. Headed to Caedarva Mire again, but this time I had to go get a Lamian Fang Key by clicking on a “???” behind a sleeping Jnun, a flesh type mob. The key can only be obtained from the “???” once, after that you have to either kill Lamias or skeletons which were Decent Challenge to a lvl 75.
I zoned out to Arrapago Reef at I-6, no problem so far… followed the path to the Iron Door, I had to cross a boat which was full of lamias and skellies, but with sneak and invisible up, I had no problem. Used the key, and turn left, I faced another Iron Door, which doesn’t require another key. From there something strange happened, I headed south-west to zone out to a different map… crossing another boat with lamias and skellies on it, both sneak and invis were up. In the middle of the boat, my sneak wore off with no warning at all!!!!! I couldn’t get too far because I was bound by the skellies, and died in the middle of the boat. I had reraise 2 on, but reraising at that spot was just suicide as they will just attack me again. I just HP-ed back 
I’m just gonna leave this and Ilrusi Atoll Staging Point for another time, since I will need help in killing the mobs for another Lamia Fang Key
I set off to Halvung Staging Point next. I headed to Wajaom Woodlands and zoned to Halvung at C-8, after I zoned in, casted Escape to quickly reach Mount Zhayolm. After I was out, it was just a short walk to K-6 to find the door to the staging point. Had to warped back again using the portal.
Last one on the list was….. Mamool Ja Staging Point. I went to Wajaom Woodlands again and zoned out to Mamook at D-12. When I got there I was so confused in picking the right way. I didn’t have the map and ended up lost.. so I warped back before I got killed. I didn’t want to give up though… I need to start doing Assault so I can get my Yigit set.
This time I printed the map out first, and just trace the way with a pencil so I won’t get lost anymore…., thank God the second run was a success! I zoned out to Bhaflau Thickets from Mamook and from there it was just a simple run to H-10 - H-11 to find the staging point and warped back through the portal.
I deleveled to 74 again now I’m going to kill some mobs to earn me some Imperial Standing points so I can use the NPC Warp…. good times T_T

After camping Fafnir & Behemoth (that was the way HNMs supposed to be, popped fast :p), I went to do Prommyvion-Mea with 5 others who were willing to help. You guys are the best 
Yes yes I don’t have access to Lufaise Meadows yet, I took a long break and havent been able to do any missions for about a year. We went past the floors with little problem, except for a short dc for me and a death to the BLM because I didn’t cure him in time. Sorry Jim, I haven’t play WHM forever :p
First try of the BCNM was a little chaotic, first Carousel (AOE attack) killed the WAR, and as he said “Don’t worry, we got it anyway” the stupid mob did another Carousel killing the NIN and one RNG. Yes, we wiped.
We reraised and head in for another try…. I reraise, protectra 2, shellra and the Nin start the battle. Then! I saw the dreaded red button next to my name, I was friggin disconnecting and I was the WHM! I frantically tried to get back in. I came back to the BC, they were still alive and sent me an invite. Then another thing happened, my keyboard stopped working ._. I couldn’t press enter or any other non-alphabet key. Managed to type but then again, without enter button…..
I got dc-ed again, and couldn’t log back in for a minute or two. I was ranting to the pt leader through MSN and he said that they beat it o.o
Got back in, but I didn’t get it. I was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo mad. They were all there to help me and I got dc-ed. Perfect.

Logged in this morning and asked if anyone wanted to pt, 3k away from 75 after all. We ended up with the weirdest party combo. Beastmaster, Samurai, Red Mage, and 2 Black Mage. Five of us went to sky to fight Decorative Weapons. It was…. interesting to say the least. Only five people, with no tank, plenty of near deaths, Sam used Blink Band like Utsusemi, occasional adds, and yet we keep chaining to 5
We only party for about 1 hour or so, but I got my lvl and 2k buffer. Finally! The very long awaited lvl 75!
You guys are the best, hope we can party again. With more proper jobs in the party ^^;

So, today was better than usual thanks to Encephalon. Somehow he always finds these cool places to duo on Black Mage. I was fishing in the hell hole (read: Sea Serpent Grotto) for about 10 minutes when I got a tell from him asking if I wanted to duo. I was only 7k away from my very very long awaited 75, of course I said yes, not to mention we were going in the new area.
We were duo-ing some Marids, managed to keep chaining up to #3 with about 180 xp a pop. We used Empress Band though, so I got above 200 a pop. I couldn’t stay for long, and he has to sleep too… in a little over an hour I got 4k xp. 3k left!
Later in the evening, I logged on to see everyone in Boyahda Tree. Very reluctantly I dragged myself there, it was free Fafnir because for some reason no other ls was there except for 2 players who were getting Time of Death (ToD).
It’s stupid to get excited over this but….. I got the killing shot!!! XD

Is this the way a game supposed to be? Grinding to lvl, cursing myself cause all the ls fun adventures (read: any events not waiting for some Goddamn HNM to pop) start after I go sleep.
Anyway, nothing special happened today, as usual. I continued to lvl Bard solo in Tahrongi, the kabobs and juices really help to raise my exp rate. I got to lvl 11 and learned Burning Blade sword weapon skill.

So I decided on a job to try for now…. Bard. I bought necessary HQ instruments up to lvl 10 in Jeuno, hopped into the airship to Windurst and set out to East Sarutabaruta. I stopped at the AH to buy a dagger, simple armor, Meat Mithkabobs, a few stacks of Saruta Oranges, water crystals, Selbina Milk and Honey. This is when cooking comes in handy, I can simply make Orange Juice or Orange au Lait on the spot, depending on what kind of drink I need. Juice regenerates MP while au Lait regenerates HP.
I stopped by the gate guard to get signet, ran to the river, eat a kabob and use my Empress Band to get extra EXP and I was on!
